All PASS Members should have recently received a school district email from
PASS regarding signing up for text messaging. When there is information to share with the membership there will be a password sent by text so that you may access the post on the website. Basically it will act as a members only section in a limited fashion. Thanks to those that have signed up already. We are going to try every way possible to get the membership information.
Please tell others about signing up to receive PASS information on the web site as well as signing up for text messaging.
Should you have any questions please email John Piechocinski at jpattr@yahoo.com
Working to secure the web site
On Saturday March 25th the PASS Executive Board met with a Web site creator and explained what we are looking for in building a secure web site for our members. He listened to our ideas and concerns and we will ask him for a monetary proposal to build and maintain a site. We will contact others in this area in order to get the best price for what we want so that information may be sent to our members. Please be patient as we try to get this in place for members. Our current web site is fine to a point however many of our members have listed their school email address as their primary email. WE CANNOT USE SCHOOL EMAIL FOR UNION BUSINESS. Thanks for your patience while we continue to try to serve our members.
PASS Bargaining
The PASS Bargaining Committee has met 3 times to discuss topics. ideas and comments pertaining to contract items. The last time we met PASS leadership has taken those topics and put them where they pertain within the contract language. Those that attended the meeting on March 13 were given a copy of the topic list and were to share them with members at the building level. We are continuing to make progress as to what is important bargaining topics for the Association.
The Bargaining Team has been meeting almost every Wednesday to further define the topic and create language to support those ideas.
Our first bargaining date is scheduled for April 20 from 8am to 3pm.
We are continuing to look into creating a more secure web site since there are many who have listed their school email address as their primary email address.
This is a work in progress and hopefully we can have something in place where we can inform members about negotiations.
Please be patient while we attempt to make a totally secure website to spread important contract information

IEA Membership Cards
The PASS executive Board decided to have IEA send membership cards directly to members this year. In the past there has been confusion as to the location of our members. The Local also had to separate, sort and send membership cards to each building. This process took up to 3 weeks to complete. Changing methods the cards are mailed out to member within 2 days of the printing. If you have not received a card please email Brian Goebel.
