Just a reminder that we are having a general membership meet and greet at the Plainfield Village Green just to the south of downtown on the 17th of September. We will have a members meeting first then be serving lunch afterwards. It starts at 10:00am and runs til 2:00pm. Paul Parise , the IMRF rep will be there to answer questions along with an IEA/NEA rep too. members eat free and family members are only $5 each for the lunch. We will be serving hotdogs, hamburgers, chips and either soda or water. Please let Juanita Samms know if you are planning to attend by the 14th. You can contact her at jsammspass202@gmail .com. We are back!!
As you can see we have the unions website back up and operational! In the coming weeks and months we will be updating and refreshing the site to make it more current and informative. We are considering adding our own union sponsored Facebook page to link to also. Please continue to check out new posts as they show up. Hopefully all of you who have signed up are receiving notice when a new blog is posted. Let your friends and coworkers know we are back and ask them to visit our site @ 202pass.org. Contract Update!
We have come to a temporary agreement (TA) on the new contract with the district on August 25th. We are currently proofreading it for correctness of the draft so that we can get copies printed to hand out prior to our meeting with you. As of today we have not decided on a place,time or date for the meeting. more info will be upcoming.
Meet and Greet Picnic
We are having a meet & greet membership meeting on the 17th of September at the Plainfield Village Green at 10:00am til 2:00pm. It will consist of a short membership meeting followed by lunch. We will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers and chips with water or soda to drink. Members eat free and if you would like to bring your family they can get the same for $5.00 each. All the new executive board will be there to meet plus our IMRF representatives will be there along with people from IEA/NEA to meet you and answer questions too. Recall of Custodians
The custodians will be formally recalled at the next regularly scheduled board meeting. Open insurance enrollment should begin Tuesday May 10 or shortly thereafter.
