Unused Vacation Days

As of last week the district has confirmed with us that they will go back to July 1st, 2016 to transfer up to 5 unused vacation days into your sick days for any of you that did not get to use all of yours. This means that if your anniversary date was on or after 7-1-16 and you had as an example 3 days you did not get to use then they will be transferred to your sick day bank. We urge you to check the employee portal under the attendance tab, if that is your situation, to check if they have done so. This policy is now retroactively in effect for the duration of the contract, so this will apply even after the new vacation anniversary date change goes into effect this coming July 1st, 2017. If you believe you have not been credited for unused vacation days to your sick days please contact the District Office to get it corrected as soon as possible.

Longevity Stipend

You should have received your longevity stipend as a separate line item on your payday statement on Friday the 25th’s paydate. This only applies to those of you eligible to receive it(i.e. worked for the district 8 or more years). If you did not get yours please contact the payroll department at the district office to get it corrected.

Helpful Information

We just wanted to share this info with any of you that it may help. This was submitted to us via email by one of our members, Mike Lenci from Timber Ridge. Thanks Mike for sharing! See the email from Mike below:
Marty,
I don’t know if you or other members know this.
I use Jewel Osco for my meds. My Pharmacist told me that he looked at my BCBSIL and I was able to get my flu shot and shingle shot,
at the pharmacy and it’s covered 100%
It was pretty cool that my guy took the time to look that up without me asking.
Anyway I just thought if some people didn’t know, that this bit of info would be helpful.
Regards
Mike
