#ImStickingWithMyUnion
The Illinois Policy Institute, or IPI, is back and is using unethical ways to get your personal information so they can send you more LIES about your union. The union that gives us our powerful collective voice. The voice we use to advocate for our students, our schools and our community. The choice is clear: When the IPI comes calling, tell them #ImStickingWiththeUnion and that you’re #IEAProud because we’re #IEAstronger.
Natalie Copper will continue to represent education support professional (ESPs) on the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) Board of Trustees. She was unopposed in the recent IMRF election.
“Thank you to all IEA members for their continued trust in me. I feel very honored to serve and will continue to make all decisions based on what is in the best interest of IEA and IMRF stakeholders.”
Natalie is a member of the Evanston Child Care Workers Education Association in Region 41 and works as the site-coordinator at the Before and After School Childcare program in District 65. She is also a member of the IEA ESP Council.
On Aug. 24, the Troy Education Association (TEA) held it’s first member family picnic at the Channahon Community Park in Channahon. Members enjoyed a great day with perfect weather. IEA and NEA Member Benefits information was shared and many members won prizes donated by local businesses. Another highlight of the afternoon was a discussion with Sen. Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, D-Shorewood, regarding the concerns of our members and for the support of quality public schools.
To our TEA members, thank you for all you do every day for our students, schools and community!
